Cyber Activists Unite

I would like for you to take a good look at the photograph below. If you like, you can click on it to read the short article it is posted with at the Los Angeles Times.

Facebook intern maps out friendships around the worldThis image maps ten million facebook relationships throughout the world. If you have a facebook profile, you are in some way connected to people on different points of the globe. This is only a representation of the facebook network. The internet itself is most probably incomprehensible. Now look at the image again, but this time do so with the realization that this is the power that we wield as cyber activists. This is our domain!

From this day forth, we shall combine our efforts. Every activist worldwide who has access to the internet will have a daily task. When you wake up in the morning or come home from work, you will go online to find your assignment. It will consist of a short description, a phone number, fax number and an email address. You will have the choice of utilizing one or all three. This does not mean that we disembark from our current missions; rather, we will help others and ask for help in return.

Monday – Meatless Monday will be dedicated to protesting the factory farm industry.

Tuesday – The Cove and Whaling

Wednesday – Wildlife Conservation

Thursday – Animal Liberation. Those guys do a lot of protesting. We will back them up with our emails and phone calls.

Friday – Fur and leather.

Saturday – Miami $eaquarium and captive marine life.

Sunday – Shark Salvation

I am a supporter of Sea Shepherd and always will be. My concentration will be on the Oceans and Sea Life. I am going to help those activists that are working in other areas by simply taking a few minutes to back them up. We already know what’s happening on Tuesday. We are calling, emailing and faxing Taiji. We are going to ask for help from all the activists in the world. In return, we will help them on their specific days. If we all call the same number or send to the same email address on the same day, we will make a serious impact!

So what do we do now? Well, we didn’t seem to have a problem getting word out when we found out about Misty, so we are going to get word out now. Send the link to this page to everyone you can. Share! Share with passion and conviction!

With eleven of you, I make a dozen. With ninety-nine of you, I make a hundred. But I cannot do it without each and every one of you. You matter! Never give up! For the Animals!

“We must cultivate a universal responsibility toward each other and extend it to the planet that we have to share.” – Dalai Lama
