The Cove (film)

Dolphins, the most intelligent creatures on our planet, are being slaughtered by the thousands in Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. The killing season, as depicted in the Oscar winning film The Cove, will begin again on September 1st. It’s up to us to finally bring a halt to these crimes against nature.

Millions have signed the petitions. Hundreds of thousands have sent emails to the Prime Minister of Japan. Many thousands have called Japanese embassies and consulates to protest the madness. Our numbers have grown significantly in the past year, but we need more! Protests, emails and phone calls send the message home to the Japanese government but nothing wins people over to the cause better than The Cove movie.

I urge each and every one of you to purchase a few copies of the The Cove and give them away. Give them to those who can help spread the word and encourage even more people to watch the film. Give them to community leaders. Give them to school teachers, hair dressers, shop owners, taxi drivers and anyone who loves animals. When they have watched the documentary, make sure to send them to the appropriate websites so that they can stay on top of the current issues for the cause and so that they can help make a difference. Most importantly, ask them to do what you have done: buy a few copies of the DVD and pass them out.

If we all do this, we will make an impact. If we all do this we will save the voiceless souls that are being erased from our world. I have been doing this for some time on my meager income. If I can do it, so can you!

“If you make your best effort to be kinder, nurture compassion, make the world a better place, then you can say ‘At least I’ve done my best’.” – Dalai Lama
