Rodeos: Forget the Myth!
*THE FOLLOWING POST DOES NOT RELATE TO MARINE MAMMALS, BUT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE WELFARE OF ANIMALS*
Rodeos… Getting the family together to take a trip to watch people clothesline a baby animal, body slam it to the ground, tie its legs so it can’t move, and finally dragging it by the neck… just another good ol’ time, right? WRONG.
The myth of Rodeos is that it’s nothing more than a bunch of men having fun with animals. The myth of a rodeo is that the animals are treated great (as any animal abusing business would say). The myth of a rodeo is that the animals NEVER get hurt and that they are trained to do what they do. Really? You would have to be a hospitalized type of redneck to believe that these poor animals are deliberately trained to fall when a rope slings around their neck. It may be just me, but that might hurt a little as well.
